The Air Force has broken ground on a $5.6 million building at Peterson Air Force Base that will combine two squadrons under one roof.

The 52nd Airlift Squadron and the Air Force Reserve Command’s 731st Airlift squadron will be housed in the 12,500 square foot C-130 operations center.

The building aims to enhance cooperation and operations efficiency.

It’s scheduled to open in early 2012.
