SET Family Medical Clinics has been awarded a $64,350 grant from the Colorado Health Foundation.

SET clinics collaborated with TLC (The Lord Cares) Pharmacy to obtain the grant, which will allow TLC Pharmacy to hire an administrator of pharmacy/medical services.

TLC is a new faith-based community pharmacy for the uninsured, under-insured or low income families in the Pikes Peak Region.

SET clinics is a nonprofit organization that provides basic medical services and holistic health programs to people who are uninsured, under-insured, homeless or have low income.

Collaboration between the two nonprofits allows SET’s clients to receive free medications, and SET will assist TLC with developing priorities for sustainability.

“It is exciting to watch the TLC Pharmacy grow and have such a signicant impact on our community,” said Zelna Joseph, CEO of SET. “We appreciate the support from the Colorado Health Foundation.”

The Colorado Health Foundation has assets totaling more than $1.1 billion, including an ownership interest in Denver’s HealthONE hospital system.
