The Colorado Water Conservation Board is trying to build support for the Colorado Healthy Rivers Fund.
Taxpayers can choose to donate to the fund and to a variety of other causes by checking a box on their tax forms, but funds have to raise a certain amount in order to keep appearing on tax forms.
The Colorado Healthy Rivers Fund and 9Health Fair Fund are both trying to raise $75,000 this year.
The water board says the Colorado Healthy Rivers Fund pays for watershed planning and on-the-ground projects to protect water resources.
