A Colorado Springs-based company has won a $75 million contract to help screen temporary foreign workers.
TekPro Services and their partner, SpecPro Inc., have won a Department of Labor and Employment to provide foreign labor certifications, which allow U.S. employers to hire foreign workers.
The programs are designed to make sure that the admission of those workers won’t adversely affect job opportunities for Americans.
To obtain certification, employers must show there are insufficient qualified U.S. workers available and willing to perform the work at the prevailing wage paid for the occupation.
TekPro will provide 180 workers to support the contract at national processing centers in Chicago, Atlanta and Washington, D.C.
