The Pikes Peak Workforce Center received a $75,000 grant from the Colorado Department of Labor to find out how the system can address workforce needs of the aerospace industry.

The grant is part of a statewide initiative and will be used to identify the role the workforce system can play to help aerospace remain a competitive industry in Colorado, as well as develop specific training and certification programs throughout the state.

The grant is part of an industry-driven planning effort that involves the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Colorado Springs Economic Development Corp., the Colorado Procurement Technical Assistance Center and the Colorado Association for Manufacturing and Technology.
