U.S. solar market grew 67% last year

The U.S. solar power market grew a record 67 percent last year, making it the fastest growing energy sector, USA Today reported today.

Solar market share jumped from $3.6 billion in 2009 to $6.0 billion in 2010, apparently helped by federal tax credits and declining technology costs.

Colorado was among the top 10 states for solar power installation.

  1. last year a business in colorado (Xcel and CSU service providor) could achieve a 40% return on money installing solar or wind, this is down to over 20% but still a fantastic return which will even go higher with rising energy cost.
    This is the year to do it still 1603 grants are still there and utility rebates…
