Champion Windows of Colorado Springs started a corporate giving program this year, which is separate from the corporation’s nationwide program.
Champion is soliciting applications from 501(c)(3) organizations – within the Pikes Peak region – that provide a variety of human services. Each quarter, the company plans to give $7,000 in micro-grants or donations. And it’s extended the second-quarter deadline from March 15 until the end of the month.
The company is looking for nonprofits that provide human services to help people in adverse circumstances caused by financial hardship or health-related limitations; and organizations in the arts, education and culture sectors that teach skills, which people can use for future educational or vocational growth.
Preference will be given to programs that teach and engage people in learning activities that can improve a person’s quality of life, especially children or people with special needs.
Grants will not be made for capital campaigns, equipment, research or studies, political campaigns or religious purposes.
The application window for the third quarter is June 1 through June 15. For more information and to read the guidelines, visit Champion’s website.
