Outdoor Industry Association has hired Ling Matthews-Thompson as vice president of communications. Thompson has more than 14 years of experience in communications, campaign marketing and public relations.

Gov. John Hickenlooper has announced appointments to the Workers’ Compensation Cost Containment Board and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District Board of Directors.

Appointments are dependent upon Senate confirmation. The members appointed to the Workers’ Compensation Cost Containment Board include:

Tasha R. Greene, Ault, Colo.

Patrick W. Hagge, Fort Collins, Colo.

Appointments to the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District Board of Directors include:

Honorable Bonnie J. McNulty, Edgewater, Colo.

Honorable Douglas G. Clark, Littleton, Colo.

Rick LaRose has joined Murphy Company’s Colorado Springs office as a project manager. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry and is a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design & Construction, according to the U.S. Green Building Council.

Security Service Federal Credit Union has selected John Greg Vaughan to serve as a mortgage loan officer. He has more than 20 years of lending experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining Security Service, he worked at Washington Mutual and Bank of America.

Rhonda Smith has joined Vectra Bank Colorado as senior relationship manager at the bank’s branch at 7390 N. Academy Blvd. She has 11 years of banking and finance experience and a strong background in retail management.

Ent Federal Credit Union executive vice president and COO Randy Bernstein has been promoted to the position of president. He has been with the credit union for 14 years as the organization’s senior operations executive and has 34 years of credit union experience.

Whitney Johnson has joined Hoff and Leigh as a broker associate. She previously worked for El Paso County as a grant writer. She has a double major from the University of Colorado-Boulder Leeds School of Business.

Brian Gries has joined the production team at CB Insurance. He spent more than four years at Brown & Brown insurance and was recognized as one of their top Colorado consultants for three of those years while establishing a client base.

Autumn Leva has joined Congressman Doug Lamborn’s staff as an assistant in the Washington, D.C., office. Leva, a Colorado native, is a 2010 graduate of Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, VA.

Rebecca Hartmann has joined Congressman Doug Lamborn’s staff as a senior case worker in the Colorado Springs office. Hartmann previously worked as a casework manager for Congressman Ken Calvert.
