High-ranking commanders in the U.S. military’s cyber operations are discussing the nation’s preparations to defend its sensitive computer networks from attack.

Gen. William Shelton, head of the Air Force Space Command, is among the leadership scheduled to speak today at the Space Foundation’s cyber convention in Colorado Springs.

Also scheduled to speak is retired Marine Gen. Peter Pace, a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

A deputy director for the U.S. Cyber Command – a joint command with components from all branches of the military – is also participating in the convention.
