John Dunker has joined Colorado Springs Regional Economic Development Corp. as a volunteer to serve as project manager of Operation 6035 Industry Teams and will lead the effort to assist EDC in crafting marketing messages for the plans industry targets: Aerospace & Defense, Cleantech, Data Centers, Health Information Technology, Medical Device Manufacturing and Sports.

Irina Riley, a broker associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Colorado Springs, has earned the Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation from the National Association of Realtors.

Phil Benton has joined Angler’s Covey, as director of services, overseeing fly fishing classes and guide services. He has extensive business management and retail service experience including 13 years with Comp USA, five years running Super Stores, and two years running an Independent Apple Store.

Rob Wrubel and Patrick Rudy have been awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation from Fiduciary360. The designation signifies knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement defined policies and procedures.

Cindy Austin has joined the Colvert/Harvey Group at UBS. Prior to joining the Colvert/Harvey Group, she worked at Huntley-Thatcher-Ellsworth,Ltd.

The National Business Office of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America, headquartered in Colorado Springs, has named Douglas Truitt as executive director and Lisa Juhl as director of marketing. Truitt is a native of Colorado Springs and has served as vice president with several local banking institutions, including The Bank at Broadmoor and Cheyenne Mountain Bank. Juhl has developed annual marketing plans for Nabisco, Marriott and the New York Mets. Since 1992, she has consulted for the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region, Regis University, London Real Estate Group and the Women’s Advisory Board of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Rebecca Sykes has been promoted to the position of cash manager officer for American National Bank. She joined the bank more than seven years ago and has 10 years’ experience in the banking industry.

Ann Fuller has been named vice president of business development. She has 19 years of banking experience, 10 of which were at American National Bank.

Eric Drummond, former Manitou Springs mayor and attorney with Sherman & Howard, has been named to the Advisory Board of the Governor’s Energy Office Renewable Energy Redevelopment Team. The program supports the GEO’s efforts in charting Colorado’s future as a leader in clean, renewable energy.

Lisa Amend has launched Wild River PR, a public relations firm specializing in tourism, attractions, history and heritage and arts and culture in Colorado Springs. She has more than 15 years of experience in the field.
