Health and Human Services Regional Director Marguerite Salazar is visiting the Children’s Hospital to talk about a federal initiative that addresses preventable injuries and medical complications.
Salazar will talk Thursday morning about the program called Partnership for Patients. It has received $1 billion in federal funding to launch.
The program seeks to implement measures to make sure patients heal without complications and don’t get sicker during their hospital stays. Officials say the goal is to save billions of dollars in health care costs.
