Beyond this one event, it would be useful to consider whether an effort to make Colorado Springs the permanent home of the World Championships is in order. Omaha has made a community showcase and economic engine out of the College Baseball World Series. We should explore that model and see if we can parlay this opportunity into an ongoing branding and economic development initiative.
