The Credit Union of Colorado is expanding in Colorado Springs with a $1 million service center in the Marketplace at Austin Bluffs.

The Denver-based credit union has been in Colorado Spring for years, operating a small service center at 3609 Austin Bluffs Parkway, but the service center lacked tellers and other traditional branch services.

That will change when the credit union moves into the Marketplace at Austin Bluffs, across the street from its current location. The new location will have teller lines and a drive-thru lanes as well as ATMs.

Golden-based Happel & Associates is working on the  project to upgrade the 5,049 square-foot facility.

The Marketplace at Austin Bluffs is anchored by King Soopers and 24-Hour Fitness. Other tenants include Good Year Tire, Russell Stover, Old Chicago, TCF Bank, Starbucks, Good Times and Red, Hot and Blue restaurant.
