Rumsfeld, “The Sarge” visit Fort Carson

Former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld and drag racer Tony “The Sarge” Schumacher are both visiting Fort Carson.

Schumacher is a seven-time National Hot Rod Association Top Fuel champion whose dragster is sponsored by the Army. He’ll sign autographs and pose for photographs with his show car at the post exchange on Thursday morning.

Rumsfeld is scheduled to appear at the exchange in the afternoon to sign copies of his memoir. Fort Carson says proceeds from sales of “Known and Unknown” will go to military charities sponsored by the Rumsfeld Foundation.
