City’s roadwork outsourcing will mean 20 jobs
The City of Colorado Springs will contract with private companies for $1.68 million in road projects that are expected fund 20 construction jobs.
The projects will be open for bid, and work is scheduled to begin August 22.
They include:
• Cimarron Street from East Sierra Madre Street to West of Wahsatch Avenue;
• Cascade Avenue from Colorado Avenue to Moreno Avenue; and
• Interquest Parkway from Interstate 25 on ramp to Voyager Parkway, 1000 feet west of Powers.
The bid document is available on-line or in city procurement office, 30 S. Nevada Ave., Suite 201Bids are due 3 p.m. Aug. 4.
Funding for three road projects will come from the available fund balance in the Support Services Fund that will be transferred to the Capital Improvements Fund.
