Test drive a BMW, support Team USA

Winslow BMW in Colorado Springs is giving $10 to Team USA for every person who tests drives their new BMW 650i convertible and other BMW models.

Winslow BMW and BMW of North America promised a maximum $200,000 donation to Team USA through its Drive for Team USA event from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 11, at 730 N. Circle Dr.

Attendees will have the opportunity to test drive the new 650i convertible and the dealership’s full lineup of BMW models.

Five Team USA athletes will be on hand to meet and talk with customers: Brandon Slay, gold medalist in freestyle wrestling at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and head wrestling coach at the Olympic Training Center; Curt Tomasevicz, 2010 Olympic men’s gold medal bobsled team member; Bree Schaaf, 2010 Olympic women’s bobsled team; Jesse Beckom, men’s bobsled athlete; and Matt Antoine, top-ranked men’s skeleton athlete will talk about what it takes to qualify for the Olympic Games.

BMW Group is the official mobility partner of the U.S. Olympic Committee and is providing support and resources for the Olympic and Paralympic athletes who are preparing for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

  1. …… a German automaker is the ‘official mobility partner’ for the UNITED STATES Olympic Committee ? WTF? We’ve got our own Govmint Motors & the US team is gonna drive european cars ? What am i missing here ?
