United CEO says improvements on the way

The head of United Continental Holdings says improvements for travelers are on the way.

Jeff Smisek told business travel managers on Sunday that improvements will include flat-bed seats to first and business class on long-haul aircraft, doubling overhead bin space on some jets, and adding wireless.

Business travel is playing a key role in airline revenues and the company plans to invest more than $500 million to retrofit its aircraft.
