The new owners of the Powderhorn ski resort are keeping their word on offering lower prices on season passes this year compared with last season.

For instance, the price of an adult season pass this year is $399, down from $420 last season. The ski area near Grand Junction offers various passes for different age groups, military members and for families.

Powderhorn’s former owners, who were looking to retire, sold the ski area at an auction this summer to longtime ski resort industry executive Andy Daly and Ken and Tom Gart, whose family made their name in sporting goods retailing.
