Venture capitalist Brad Feld in Colo. Springs

At 7 a.m. Sept. 9 in Colorado College Bemis Hall, entrepreneur and venture capitalist Feld Feld, who has been an early stage investor and entrepreneur for more than 20 years will offer a keynote address.

He is considered to be an authority on accelerating successful start-up ventures.

Feld is co-founder of Tech Stars (www.techstars.com), a mentor-driven start-up accelerator with three month company-in-resident programs in Boston, Boulder, New York and Seattle. Feld is also a co-founder of the Foundry Group (www.foundry.com), a venture capital firm focused on investing in early-stage information technology companies. Recently he co-authored a couple of authoritative books with the insights gained in these arenas.

Additionally Feld is active in several non-profit organizations and presently serves as chairperson of the National Center for Women & Information Technology. Feld is a sought out as a keynote speaker for international events. YouTube hosts a variety of his talks which range from building a regional entrepreneurial community, to the government’s role in entrepreneurship, to maintaining personal life balance. He is an avid reader and prolific blogger on www.feld.com and www.askthevc.com, both of which have a worldwide following.
