Sarah MacGuire has been named chairman for both The Broadmoor and Colorado Springs Cotillions. She replaces Connie Armit, who had led the nationally recognized Jon D. Williams Cotillions for 18 years. MacGuire has successfully managed the Colorado Springs Cotillion for the past 4 years. The Cotillions is a program that teaches social skills, manners and dance education to children throughout the Colorado Springs area.
Patricia Raicht, certified green broker, has been named vice president, regional director, research and marketing for Grubb & Ellis Company, a real estate services and investment firm. She will oversee research and marketing in Seattle, Sacramento and Denver offices.
The Broadmoor has named Dennis Lesko vice president of marketing. Lesko served in the same capacity for the Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond resort from 1993 until 2001.Before originally joining The Broadmoor in 1993, Lesko represented Marriott Corporation as director of sales and marketing in Hilton Head, N.C., as well as in Hawaii and at the Orlando World Center. He also worked at the Cloister at Sea Island as vice president of sales and marketing before being named regional vice president of marketing with Ritz-Carlton Hotels.
Mic Garofolo has been named The Broadmoor’s official house photographer. Garofolo, owner and founder of Mic Clik photography, is the resort’s third official photographer and will document the hotel’s history. He replaces Bob McIntyre, who served as house photographer for 53 years.
Rocky Mountain Field Institute has named Becky Reed executive director. Reed was previously the associate director and program director for the organization. Rocky Mountain Field Institute is works to restore natural areas through volunteer stewardship, environmental education and restoration research.
Harry Tokle joins Bekins Moving & Storage Company as its new Colorado manager serving Denver, Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. Tokle will be responsible for all of the management and day-to-day operations of the Colorado Springs branch office, which has a staff and crew of 40 employees. He has been in management for many years including the last several years working for Johnson Storage & Moving in Centennial.
Kelly Shaffer has received the Certified Staffing Professional certification from the American Staffing Association. Shaffer has worked at ADD STAFF for more than 17 years. He is currently vice president/chief operating officer.
Robert Merrion, president of Remco Equipment Company, recently qualified as the first AIRMaster+ Specialist in Southern Colorado. The U.S. Dept. of Energy and the Compressed Air Challenge recognize qualified AIRMaster+ Specialists for their ability to use the AIRMaster+ software effectively with industries for modeling “what if” scenarios for possible improvements to compressed air systems and associated energy savings.
