Public Health moves this week to Citizens Service Center

El Paso County Public Health is the latest county office to make the move to the Citizens’ Service Center at 1675 Garden of the Gods Road.

The department follows the election department to the new service center, and will be closed Sept. 22 to make the move.

“We are ready and excited for this move, and feel the opportunity for coordination among the many public service tenants will ultimately increase efficiency,” said executive director Kandi Buckland.

The health department’s new offices will be located on the second floor. Below are the closing and re-opening dates:

- The Women, Infant and Children program will be closed Sept. 22 – 27, but only at the 301 S. Union location. All other WIC locations will remain open.

- All other public health offices will close at noon Sept. 22 and reopen for regular business at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28.

- The environmental health division will be on call to complete all on-site wastewater final inspections during the closed dates. Call 719-757-8699 for inspections.

Other El Paso County offices at the center: El Paso County Clerk and Recorder, Treasurer, Assessor and Pikes Peak Work Force Center. The El Paso County Department of Human Services also moved to the Citizens Service Center this year.
