Senate approves plan to avoid shutdown

The U.S. Senate reached a bipartisan agreement that will allow the government to continue operations, according to Bloomberg News.

The legislation includes $2.65 billion for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, offset by budget cuts elsewhere.
