With Kindle tablet, Amazon takes on Apple

No company’s been able to match the success of the Apple iPad, but that’s not stopping Internet giant Amazon from trying.

Reports are that Amazon is going to launch a Kindle tablet, and sell books and movies for the device.

The company hasn’t officially announced it will release a tablet, but company officials are holding a press conference today.
