Colorado economists say the state’s job prospects may be doing better than people think.

University of Colorado economist Richard Wobbekind says Colorado will see job growth of as many as 25,000 jobs this year, more than double the forecast from just three months ago.

Patty Silverstein, an economist and president of Littleton’s Development Research Partners, said that figures show more than 27,000 new jobs were created in the first three months of this year.

The Boulder Leeds School of Business says the school’s original forecast in December predicted a gain of 10,100 jobs in 2011.
