Getting arrested? Well, if you’re part of the Occupy Wall Street crowd, there’s an app for that.
The free app allows protestors to alert people if they are going to be arrested, according to the Daily news. The developer of the “I’m getting arrested” app is Jason Van Anden, and it’s available at Android Market. He’s working on an app for the iPhone.
Users write a text message in advance and program a list of recipients. As they are about to be arrested, they can hit a button and alert everyone on their list.
As of Monday morning, 9,000 people had installed the app. But Van Anden doesn’t know if anyone used it yet, because he installed privacy controls.
