Denver voters will decide tomorrow whether city businesses should be required to offer paid sick leave.

Initiative 300 seeks to require businesses to offer one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a cap of 9 sick days a year.

Business groups  oppose it, saying it would be a costly that would encumber hiring efforts.

Public health groups say if passed, the law would mean low-wage workers  wouldn’t  have to decide between staying home or missing a paycheck if it passes.
