Target follows Wal-Mart with midnight Black Friday opening

Target stores have announced that they will open their doors to Black Friday shoppers at midnight and stay open for a continuous 23-hour holiday shopping marathon.

Its 1,700 stores won’t close until 11 p.m. Nov. 25, the Friday after thanksgiving.

Target follows Wal-mart’s trend after it opened at midnight last year.

Most expect the two big box stores to compete against each other with discount deals.
