Einstein Bros. Bagels has signed a 10-year lease in the former Mrs. Field’s Cookies location at 32 North Tejon Street.

The company has started renovating the location and is expected to open at the end of this year, said First Properties’ Rich Walker, who brokered the deal.

The new bagel restaurant will be located at the corner of Kiowa Street and Tejon Street, one of the busiest corners in the downtown area. It will fill both the former Mrs. Field’s location and the old Schoemaker’s Camera location.

Walker said the former hot dog stand around the corner at 27 East Kiowa St. is still vacant and available.
