GE Johnson logs 5 million hours with no injuries

GE Johnson Construction Company recently exceeded 5 million man-hours worked without a day-away-from-work injury, which equates to every hour worked on more than $2 billion worth of projects since 2005. GE Johnson has completed more than $6 billion in projects throughout the Rocky Mountain region, and has offices in Colorado Springs, Denver and Jackson, Wyo.

Goodwill celebrates 50 Years

Pinon Development takes first place

Pinon Development Corp. received a first place award from the Colorado Sustainable Design Awards competiton. Pinon won in the sustainable communities category for their Trailside project in Salida. The award was given by the which is sponsored by The American Institute of Architects, The Urban Land Institute, and The U.S. Green Building Council.

HB&A celebrates 40 years

Colorado Springs-based architecture and planning firm HB&A is celebrating its 40th anniversary Nov. 11. Founded as Higginbotham and Associates by Don Higginbotham, later becoming Higginbotham/Briggs & Associates when Ron Briggs became a partner, the firm is now led by nine partners: Gene Leavines, Steve Powell, Amy Umiamaka, Stan Mael, Aaron Briggs, Tim Murphy, Glenn Santeler, Val Olson and Andrea Barker.

American Business Women’s Association celebrating 50 years

The Pikes Peak Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will celebrate its 50th anniversary with dinner, awards and a retro fashion show on Dec. 13. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center, 314 West Bijou St.
