Shale gas reserves could reignite the economy
Newly accessible reserves of gas trapped between shale rock has re-invigorated the energy industry – and could help the economy as a whole.
Bloomberg is reporting that energy companies, large and small, are investing billions into getting the gas from the rocks.
And some electric companies are exchanging coal-fired plants for natural gas generated electricity.
