Hickenlooper appoints panel to consider private route for Pinnacol

Pinnacol, the largest workers’ compensation insurance company in the state, is seeking to go completely private, removing itself from state control.

The Denver Business Journal is reporting that the company sent its restructuring proposal to Gov. John Hickenlooper, 18 months after it first suggested the changes.

Hickenlooper has appointed a 19-member commission to consider it.
