Wilfred Romaro has become the new executive director of the Arc of the Pikes Peak Region.
Romero used to work at Booz/Allen/Hamilton, a public company which provides management and technology consulting services internationally, where he was head of a regional leadership team. In addition, he has program design and management experience with the Department of Health and Human Services and leadership experience with the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Head Start in Wyoming and southern Colorado.
“The board engaged in a rigorous selection process, which led to our decision to hire Mr. Romaro based on his management experience,” said acting board president Marsha Unruh.
Christina Butero was acting executive director, and will resume her position as director of public relations and development.
The Arc is a nonprofit organization that serves a legal guardian for 73 people with intellectual and development disabilities. The group also advocates on behalf of people with disabilities.
