CDOT starts Facebook page

The Colorado Department of Transportation launched a Facebook page to help improve customer service and communication with updates about projects.

The CDOT Facebook address is  www.facebook.com/colorado.dot.

“We have been using our website, Twitter and email/text message alerts to communicate road and traveler information as well as other news to motorists,” said CDOT Executive Director Don Hunt. “While these tools are all very successful, we believe Facebook will provide another avenue for citizens to communicate with us directly.”

CDOT will post information about construction projects and programs, as well as events and photos. There is also a feed from Twitter that provides road and travel conditions.
