The Better Business Bureau has issued a scam alert for businesses.

Businesses are receiving an email purporting to be from a bbb.org e-mail saying that a complaint about their business has been filed.

The e-mail advises that the recipient should review the matter and inform the BBB of their position. From there, the e-mail directs the recipient to a malicious link.

The BBB recommends forwarding the messages to phishing@council.bbb.org.
