Nor’wood Development Group and Colorado Springs Utilities are teaming up to offer the city’s first electric vehicle charging station.

And, it’ll be free – no charge to charge up.

The charging station will be located in front of the Cinemark Theater in the  First & Main Town Center near Powers Boulevard and North Carefree Circle.

Photos of the stations are not being released until the station is officially unveiled and open to the public at 10 a.m. Dec. 9.

The station is also intended to serve as a pilot program to gather information about charging-station performance and impacts to be used for expansion planning.
