SBDC’s Hurley out

Filed under: Daily News | Tags:

Marcella Hurley has left her job as director of the Small Business Development Center at UCCS.

Her departure was abrupt, but Venkat Reddy, dean of the College of Business,  did not offer details about whether she left voluntarily or was fired.

“All I can say is that it did not work out and that Marcella Hurley no longer works for the Small Business Development Center,” he said

Hurley took the job in June after a UCCS committee conducted a national search to fill the position.

Reddy said a new search will convene soon and that the Small Business Development Center would continue operating as usual in the meantime.

The Small Business Development Center of Colorado Springs is a non-profit organization that provides free confidential counseling and education to small and medium sized businesses in El Paso and Teller Counties.

One Response to SBDC’s Hurley out

  1. Whoever let Marcella Hurley go from SBDC really let the people of Colorado Springs down!

Marcella made a positive difference at the SBDC and would have positively impacted Colorado Springs if given the chance.

Venkat Reddy has to answer for this…

    What happened?

Why would you let someone so gifted and talented go?
