Westside’s CS West Bikes moving

CS West Bikes is moving its shop a few blocks west of its Old Colorado City location and will re-open in a  new space tomorrow.

The homegrown bike business is moving from its home of three-and-a-half years across the street from Bancroft Park at 2403 W. Colorado Ave. to 3020 W. Colorado Ave.

A thrift shop, Twice Appreciated, most recently occupied the space, and the popular Westside Thai restaurant, Wild Ginger, occupied it before that.

“We’re in the process of moving right now,” owner Rush Carter said this morning.

The new spot near the busy intersection of 30th Street and Colorado will offer more than twice the space, he said. It’s also easier to access and offers off-street parking for customers. It’s close to Red Rock Canyon, the Garden of the Gods and the route to Pikes Peak.

“And it doesn’t hurt that we can a see a bike path and trail head from our front door,” he added.

Nelson Roseland who works with the Old Colorado City Merchant’s Association said he hasn’t heard whether CS West’s old location has any new tenants lined up.

One Response to Westside’s CS West Bikes moving

  1. It’s great to see this great shop find a new home that will give them the floorspace they deserve. One of the premier shops in the region.
