Travel expert Rick Steves to visit the Springs

There is a way to breeze past the long lines at Rome’s Colosseum and get right in without a wait.

Travel aficionado Rick Steves will be in Colorado Springs March 7 to share his secrets on the best way to beat the crowds at some of the world’s busiest tourist destinations in a presentation hosted by Rocky Mountain PBS and KCME 88.7 FM.

Steves, host of “Rick Steves’ Europe” on Rocky Mountain PBS, will be at Colorado College’s Shove Chapel to discuss how travelers can find off-the-beaten path places and experience a new culture like a local.

Steves has 30 years experience and dozens of books that help travelers plan their itinerary; find the right hotels and restaurants; avoid tourist scams; and save money while enjoying their trip.
