Panetta to offer strategy to cut $450 billion from defense budget

Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta will present his strategy for cutting the budget $450 billion in the next ten years, reports the New York Times.

The report, due this week, will “carefully shrink” the military, and will make it clear the nation will not be able to fight a two ground wars at the same time – a reversal in Pentagon doctrine for the past decade.
