Cities around the state are increasingly paying for their own lobbyists – spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to get their voices heard at the national capital.
The Denver Post is reporting that the city of Denver spends between $175,000 to $200,000 annual for its federal lobbyist. Aurora isn’t far behind, and Colorado Springs Utilities spends about $250,000 a year.
They say its worth every penny.
