More than 91 businesses, nonprofits in arrears on Denver loans

Restaurants, nonprofit groups,  a furniture store and a theater company are among 91 borrowers that are behind on payments on loans from Denver’s Office of Economic Development.

The amount is 14 percent, or $21.6 million, of the 655 loans the office has on its books, reports the Denver Post.

The office’s executive director is hoping to cut the late rate to 10 percent.
