Stan Schneider has joined the accounting firm of SSA, P.C. as tax manager. Originally from Michigan, Schneider came to Colorado Springs after living in Florida for ten years. He earned a bachelor’s degree actuarial science as well as a master’s degree in sports administration from Central Michigan University.
BKD, LLP announced the promotion of Robert Conner to manager. Conner serves high net worth individuals and for-profit organizations in the health care and manufacturing and distribution industries. He provides tax planning, compliance services and general business consulting and has extensive knowledge of tax implications regarding capitalization of costs under IRC section 263A, the Domestic Production Activities Deduction under IRC section 199, and the calculation of the Research and Development Credit.
Ent has hired Stacy Boyce as its new director of information technology operations. She has been in the IT industry for more than 14 years and is a certified Project Management Professional since 2004. Boyce serves on the board of the Rocky Mountain chapter of the Help Desk Institute and assumed the role of vice president of programs in January 2012. In her role at Ent, Boyce will oversee the credit union’s host services, service desk and infrastructure support teams.

Matt Payne has been named director of clinical support services at Peak Vista Community Health Centers. Payne is now responsible for care coordination, case management, homeless prevention, health education, emergency department diversion, first visitor, second sight, audiology, well child waiting, and also offers support with partnership development and management. He has worked at Peak Vista for four years and has eight years of experience in healthcare, case management and development.

With prior experience working as a CPA, she concentrates her legal practice in complex estate planning, estate administration, taxation, business succession planning, charitable giving and the full range of wealth preservation strategies for high net worth clients.
Kim Mitchell joined Centura Health, Colorado’s largest hospital and health care network, as vice president of talent management. Mitchell will work alongside leaders, human resource teams, operating groups and entities to develop and improve the effectiveness of talent acquisition, leadership development/succession planning, organizational effectiveness and change management, as well as staff-level training.
BBVA Compass named Philip DeVries as senior wealth management advisor, a newly established position for the bank in Southern Colorado. DeVries will serve the private banking, investment and trust needs of clientele in the community, as well as manage all aspects of the bank’s Wealth Management products and services. Prior to joining BBVA Compass, DeVries was vice president in the Private Client Group at U.S. Bank where he oversaw wealth management operations throughout Southern Colorado. He also held leadership positions at Vista Bank, UMB Bank Colorado and Bank One Investment Management and Trust.
