The Resource Exchange has outgrown its site at 418 S. Weber Street and has put the building up for sale.
The organization, a nonprofit that assists people with disabilities, saw 2,700 people last year and has grown its staff from 80 to 125 in the past three years.
That growth has led The Resource Exchange to seek new office space. But no move is imminent.
“We have carefully gone about identifying potential office space that will be suitable to our operational and strategic needs,” said David Ervin, executive director of the group. “We are taking our time to look for space that will allow us to grow, to be accessible and that represents an excellent investment in our future.”
The group has not yet found the right space, and isn’t really even sure that they will sell the Weber Street building.
The for-sale sign, “does not obligate us to sell the building, but will bring us a better informed understand of whether or not it is marketable/sellable,” he said. “We believe it is time to start exploring our options.
