Amazon Fire takes android apps, but not Google’s

Amazon’s high-selling Kindle Fire is using the platform built for Android phones, but leaving out the pre-loaded Google products like G mail, said Bloomberg.

The new Kindle also doesn’t come with Google maps or other applications that Google makes money on – which is the reason it gives away the Android platform.

Google’s fast-growing mobile ad sales division could take a hit if more devices take Kindle’s approach.
