Colorado fracking to use more water

The amount of water used in fracking for hydraulic oil  and gas wells will rise 35 percent in the next five years, but it will remain a small percentage of the state’s overall water use.

The Denver Business Journal is reporting that most of the state’s water is used for agriculture.

The amount of water used in fracking has drawn concerns that the state doesn’t have enough water to accommodate the oil industry’s needs.
