Jobless claims in U.S. fall unexpectedly

The number of people filing claims for unemployment benefits fell unexpectedly last week, leading analysts to believe that the labor market is gaining traction, reports Bloomberg.

Applications for unemployment dropped by 15,000 last week.

Job creation also accelerated last month, leading analysts to believe that the nation is on its way to replacing 8.3 million jobs lost during the recession.
