Credit-check bill advances in statehouse

A bill that restricts when employers can check the financial status of a potential employee has passed the state Senate, reports the Denver Business Journal.
The bill became even more restrictive, after occasionally heated debate, and the Senate stripped out the exemption for banks. Senate Bill 3 did say banks and jobs with national security emphasis could check a potential employees credit before hiring them. The amended bill only leaves in the security credit check.
