BP said to consider $14 billion spill settlement

British Petroleum is considering settling a lawsuit with businesses and individuals suing over the 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, reports Bloomberg.

The $14 billion settlement will be funded with money set aside for the out-of-court settlements. The $20 billion Gulf Coast Claims Facility would close and the remaining $14 billion shifted to the plantiffs hurt by the disaster.
