University of Colorado estimates economic impact in billions

The University of Colorado brings $5.3 billion to the state in economic impact, and $1.5 billion to the city of Boulder, reports the Boulder Daily Camera.

In a report to Boulder’s city leaders, CU officials reported that the university’s faculty are among the most productive researchers in the nation, that the student population is more diverse and that the campuses are cutting energy costs.
