State tourism office faces budget cuts

The Colorado Tourism Office is facing a $5 million cut to its budget, reports the Denver Post.

The Joint Committee is recommending the tourism office budget be set at $9.6 million, which would represent a 50 percent cut from 2010 levels.

Tourism officials objected, and asked that the budget be flagged in case more money becomes available.
